CLAIMS SUBMISSION
The instructions provided below are for claim submissions on the two National Industry Standard billing forms: the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Claim Form, CMS-1500 (formally known as HCFA-1500), and the Uniform Billing Form, UB-04/ CMS-1450.
Following these instructions will assist VBH-PA in processing your claim in an efficient timeframe.
Claims for services must be submitted on the National Industry Standard Claim Form: Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS-1500), or the Uniform Billing Form (red ink UB-04/CMS-1450). Claims should be mailed directly to one of the following VBH-PA dedicated addresses:

A provider can submit claims electronically in the following ways:
To access ProviderConnect, visit www.vbh-pa.com/providers.htm. To obtain a User ID, click on register, complete the required form, and click on “submit.”
VBH-PA has software available for electronic billing that is free of charge to the provider. In order to obtain a CD, call the toll-free provider line at 877-615-8503 and request to speak to the designated Provider Field Coordinator for the county, who will send you a packet of information related to the Electronic Data Integration (EDI) billing. You can also logon to www.valueoptions.com and download the software, free of charge.
If using your own software or a billing service, please contact the EDI Helpdesk. They can be reached at 888-247-9311 to obtain an application to submit EDI. The software must meet National Standard Format. An EDI specialist will work with you to ensure that your software is compatible for billing VBH-PA.
