• MH Outpatient Clinics located geographically in Ellwood City Borough, Lawrence County – (effective 11/9/11 - 2/10/12)
• This decision was based upon the limited transportation available and the number of persons in need of MH OP services in the Ellwood City area of Lawrence County. Lawrence County feels that the addition of outpatient clinic services in the Ellwood City area will help to insure greater compliance with MH outpatient treatment service, create cost reductions in higher levels of care and help to offset any MATP expenses and travel burdenon the consumers.
• Per PA DPW/OHMSAS regulations, all providers will be required to have a letter of support from Lawrence County MH/MR to open a clinic site. Any provider interested in opening up a clinic site should contact Lawrence County MH/MR at GETTINGS ANNEX 439 COUNTYLINE STREET, NEW CASTLE, PENNSYLVANIA 16101, 724-652-9000.
• A letter of support will be provided by Lawrence MH/MR to any willing provider who can provide written documentation of a site located geographically in the Lawrence County section of Ellwood City Borough. The documentation that will be accepted is documentation of ownership, rental agreement, letter of agreement to purchase or rent for a specific street address located within Ellwood City Borough, Lawrence County. The address should already have L&I or the owner have a plan on how to get L&I approval. Documentation must be presented prior to January 6, 2012 to be considered for a letter of support.
• Lawrence MH/MR will be responsible for reviewing the above with any interested provider and then issuing a letter of support. VBH should refer all inquiries to Lawrence MH/MR and not take any actions to bring a provider into network until a letter of support from Lawrence MH/MR is presented.
• In the letter of support, Lawrence County will also clearly communicate to any provider that the letter of support and support of the Lawrence HC program is limited to only MH Outpatient services. No support for Family Based, BHR or any other related or un-related services for providers opening the MH outpatient clinic will be provided.
